Are you excited for Captain America: Civil War? Of course, you are. Who isn’t? Of all the potentially groundbreaking movies that will hit cinemas in 2016, arguably no other has received as much hype and praise as Civil War. The hype is not just because we will finally see Steve Rogers and Tony Stark go toe to toe but also because Civil War will have consequences that reverberate through the characters that we have come to know and love, compared to the better part of the last decade.
A new report suggests that Captain America: Civil War is testing well with its audience. The report reveals that the fans have rated Civil War as good as, if not better than, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Keeping in mind that The Winter Soldier is widely known as the best solo Marvel movie to date, that is some pretty high praise. Perhaps the most important revelation of this story is the fact that Civil War apparently does not hold back anything in its third act, allowing us to believe that we should be ready for an emotional rollercoaster and now the fans are just placing bets on who will survive.
What we know about the movie in the official capacity can only be extracted from the existing trailers. The new line-up of the Avengers, led by Captain America (Chris Evans), falls into conflict with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) and Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt) over both the Sokovia Accords regulating superheroes and the Captain’s brainwashed best friend, The Winter Soldier aka Bucky (Sebastian Stan). We also know that the movie will introduce us to Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and the Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman).
According to the official press release, the film will begin with Captain America leading the new team of Avengers all around the globe and stopping threats. Unfortunately, one stop on this tour leads to an international incident involving a large amount of collateral damage. Mounting political pressure ends in a regulation that will force the superheroes to register with the government and while some individuals are on board with this idea, others are not. This leads to a clash of the titans where heroes are not fighting villains but other heroes.
Despite all of the anticipation, the film has remained strictly under wraps with the exception of a trailer that was dropped a couple of months ago and some promotional materials distributed here and there. Only time will tell if Civil War turns out to be as incredible and overwhelming as people are saying it is. Captain America: Civil War will blast its way into theaters on May 6, 2016, so make sure to mark the date on your calendars. And if you miss it in the theaters then, you can stream it online and watch Captain America: Civil War full movie online.
